It really bothered me that my sim loses his hair whenever he changes into his career outfit. And since I’d like him to wear his fedora with alternate clothes, I made him a new hat hair. It’s a combination of a mesh of my own and EA’s fedora. And just so my sim could have a consistent hairstyle I also made a non-hat version.
This non hat version looks good with a casual getup and the fedora adds a certain formality to the sim. Simple and versatile.
Teens to elders can use these hairs and has fat morphs.
EDIT: After spending a day not worrying about it, my mind was clear enough to figure out the problem. The hair is now shower-proof, hooray! The hat version however is not, but as long as you don’t use the latter as the starting hair you are golden.
Problems with the hair: The hair reverts back to a Maxis default when the sim is nude. This is a TSRW probem. I spent days trying to make the hair with Daboobs so that it’s shower-proof but every time it ends up with weird shine and shadows and/or has black triangles all over the mesh. TSRW has no problems with my mesh as you can see.
I even tried experimenting with other creators’ files that were successfully made with Daboobs and I still ended up with the same results, so I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. I’m quite disappointed with myself. Maybe I’ll keep experimenting, but constantly hitting a brick wall is very frustrating.
So unfortunately, the only way to fix the naked hair is to use a mod that lets you edit the naked outfit, such as NRAAS Master Controller . At the very least, the hair has fat morphs.
